1 Skirt 3 Days - Day 3

I can't decide if I like my day two or my day three outfit better.  They are both so me, but two very different parts of me.  Yesterdays was a classier, vintage side of me.  And today is neither classy nor vintage, but still very much me.
It's not exactly the way I wore it to church, but it is the way I wore it to a neighbour's farm this afternoon.  Plus dressy sandals and minus the jean jacket equals quite a bit more church appropriate attire.
I have just recently discovered how western knee-length skirts look.  But from experience I can tell you that they're not actually!  For a skirt to be truly western, you  must be able to ride in it.  Have you ever tried riding in a pencil skirt? Don't!  Well, if  you have been blessed with a side saddle you can go ahead and try, but astride neither modest nor comfortable.
I'm wearing: John Deere Hat (grad gift from my Daddy :) // Ariat blouse ($40 - most expensive item of clothing I've ever bought) // Skirt (thrifted $0.50) // boots (my mothers from when she was my age) // Jean jacket (gift)
This is a picture of the lambs we spent the afternoon with chasing.  My youngest sister Sarah turned six years old today and all she wanted to do was go pet the lambs at the neighbour's farm.  So that's what we did.  Then, to finish off the afternoon, two of the farmer's oldest boys demonstrated the huge trebuchet they had built in their back yard.  The little kids had a blast pulling the rope to send the coconut-sized rocks flying out into the lake!

In His grace,
Laurel

    1. Aren't they just! I believe they're polypay. They're a fairly rare breed, but they have such a perfect face shape. We've had polypay's in our petting zoo at camp several years, they're the cutest lambs you can get!
